It’s considered a starting point for the states to create their legislation and take action. The law was modeled after an executive order handed from President Barack Obama in Nov 2009 telling federal employees not to text and drive in government vehicles.

According to the Green Bay, Wisconsin, television station NBC 26, a new law requiring uninsured motorist coverage on all auto insurance policies is set to take effect on November 1 of this year. Furthermore, minimums on insurance policy coverage will see an increase as well.

John Allen, an insurance agent in the area, told the station that the result will be higher insurance costs for people in the state.

I’m told there were over 4,900 registered runners, so of course we were ready with over 5,000 bottles of water. To the first 500, they got a cool koozie that said All Web Leads on it and with the bands in it like the snap bracelets from the late 80’s that makes it fit nearly any size drink container. Hey, it’s the little things that add to it!

We all had a lot of fun and of those that were able to come from AWL, some brought family and friends to help out as well.

Of course we weren’t going to miss all the action while being buried in water chores, we were able to get some shots of the event as well.

Here’s our banner on the parking garage we were told to remove by the nicest of race/medical workers who apparently had rights to the public parking garage and everything in it… yes the police officer we asked about it was confused as well, but whatever.

The water is lined up and everyone is trying to keep their hands warm while waiting on the runners!

Everyone is in place like a well oiled machine!

The first 3 across the line are pictured here with the winner of the wheelchair division being Brad Ray from New Mexico with a time of 53.04. He’s the one in the back sleeveless.

Martin Fagan (from Ireland) set a new men’s record at 1:01:05, beating the previous 1999 record by 11 seconds set by Andres Espinoza from Mexico.

(not pictured)Belaynesh Gebre (from Ethiopia) won the women’s division at 1:11:17.

Things shortly after got crazy as the masses began finishing and celebrating with family and friends.
